The Fitness Zone
Although not everyone has a passion, or even enjoys fitness, however, there are some amazing stories of people who have changed their health and overall their lives around by getting active and moving each day. Exercise is addictive, it releases endorphins, helps you clear your mind, and makes you feel AMAZING, so it is no wonder Aidan Foenander felt the same way, here s his story;
Aidan Foenander went from being in a depressed and anxious state to being a personal training studio owner. Read about his incredible journey.
After being bullied throughout the later years of high school, Aidan Foenander ended up leaving school early to finish his VCE at TAFE as school was becoming too hard for him.
After finishing his VCE, he went on to suffer from depression due to his confidence becoming so low due to issues at high school.
At the age of 19, Aidan needed a change, and decided to move from Melbourne to the Gold Coast on his own. Having no friends or family in Queensland, this was a big change for him to say the least.
Living on the Gold Coast he began to adapt to the fitness lifestyle which it's known for. Having never been interested in exercise before, he was now going for walks, swims at the beach, and he even bought a home gym.
After living there for about 8 months, Aidan started to get sick once again, and this time with severe anxiety, which led him to going back to Melbourne as he wasn't in a state to live alone anymore.
Once he was back in Melbourne with family, he started on medication for the anxiety, and slowly started to get better, with his new love for fitness sticking with him.
After being back home for about 3 months, Aidan joined a gym for the first time and started training and taking exercise a lot more seriously than he previously had.
After having had no real career direction in his life prior to this, that was when he did his Certificate III and IV in Fitness at the Australian Institute of Fitness.
After studying hard, he was one of only three people in his class who didn't receive the extra Master Trainer certificate. Although very disappointed at first, Aidan just used this as more motivation to become the best in the industry, and the best he could possibly be.
Aidan went on to work at a few gyms, before opening his own studio in September 2012.
Now, just over a year later at the age of 23, he has already had to move the studio once due to rapid growth, and is now the owner of a thriving business with five Personal Trainers working for him, and desperately searching for more! Aidan couldn't be happier with his progress, and loves seeing happy clients and members.
