Smart and Skilled is a NSW Government reform of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system in New South Wales. From 1 January 2015, changes will take effect to the way that people who live and work in NSW receive Government funding for training.

The Australian Institute of Fitness (RTO ID 121508) will continue to provide quality training under this reform. Smart and Skilled will be available for Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30315) and limited spaces for Certificate IV in Fitness (SIS40215) in allocated regional areas.

Enrolment Procedure

From 1 January 2015, if you wish to enrol in a course that is on the 2015 NSW Skills List, the new Smart and Skilled eligibility and fee structure will apply. The Australian Institute of Fitness (RTO ID 121508) will have limited Smart and Skilled funded places for Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30315) and Certificate IV in Fitness (SIS40215).

RPL/Credit Transfer or Deferring Students

Under the Smart and Skilled Vocational Reform, students may be eligible for RPL, credit transfer or be able to defer into the selected qualification. For more information, visit the Smart and Skilled website or enquire online

Consumer Protection

Any student who believes that they have been treated unfairly or have a complaint are instructed to firstly speak to their Coach. Where a resolution cannot be reached, they are instructed to discuss the difficulty with the relevant Campus Skipper or Team Captain. Where the complaint is more serious or is not able to be resolved through such informal means, the student is directed to make submit formal a complaint.

Student Consent Form

Any student enrolling under Smart and Skilled will be asked to provide their consent to use and disclosure of personal information to the Department of Education & Communities and other Government Agencies.
