#1 When You Are Asked, What Do You Do For Fun? Your First Thought Is FITNESS!



Ever heard of the saying, “if you love what you do, then you will never work a day in your life”? Well this is something we know is a FACT! If you are already spending a number of hours in the gym, or getting active outdoors, why not make a career out of it?


#2 You Have ‘Myfitnesspal,’ ‘Map My Run’ Or An Equivalent Fit-App You Swear By



How did we survive before smart phones? Really! With the continuous evolution of technology, fitness apps now extend beyond the famous ‘Myfitnesspal’ and ‘Map My Run.’ Whether it is an app to track your macros, or a tabata app to time your interval training, you know you are set for a career in fitness when you have health and fitness apps on your phone.


#3 Your Wardrobe Is Filled With Activewear, The Latest Fit-Gadgets And Sneakers


 


You know you are a TRUE ‘Fit-Natic’ when you go shopping for “normal” clothes and come back with the latest pair of Lorna Jane tights, or a fresh pair of Nike’s. ‘Selfie or it didn’t happen - right?’ This is where having a wardrobe FULL of bright and vibrant gym gear comes in handy. Whether you are training alone, or with your gym buddy, a post-workout selfie is a way of life. On the other hand, nailing a selfie is a whole other story, chances are you probably have around twenty photos of the same pose, just to be safe, so you can choose which is the best to post on Insta.


#6 Your Instagram Is Filled With Your Healthy Snacks And Fitness Adventures


 


Your friends may give you a little grief every time you take a photo of your immaculately presented breakfast, but social media is becoming more than just a place to store images. Many are using platforms such as Instagram to keep themselves accountable for their own fitness goals, or to share their fitness knowledge, which in turn helps and inspires others to make healthy lifestyle choices.

Personal Trainer’s require a diverse range of skills and knowledge as they have a diverse range of clients, so, the more you know about the industry the more prepared you will be in your new career.


#9 You Tailor A Specific Workout Playlist To Get You Pumped Up

 


For those days you need a little extra motivation, an EPIC playlist is the best way to get your mind in the zone. Listening to music while training is said to be most beneficial when the beat of the music matches the tempo of the exercise being done, i.e. faster paced music when doing HIIT, or cardio and slower more mellow music when stretching or cooling down. TIP: ALWAYS remember your headphones!


#10 You Genuinely Enjoy Helping People Reach Their Goals


  


You can be the strongest, the fastest, the fittest, but it takes more than your own physical ability to be a great trainer. If your passion of fitness extends beyond your own training, and you truly enjoy helping others reach their goals, and preach living a healthy lifestyle, then a career in fitness is the perfect fit!
