What To Expect From Online Master Trainer Programs

Online study is a fantastic option for those who need a bit more flexibility with their learning. Our Online Master Trainer is an amazing opportunity for potential fitness professionals whose current situation means they can’t commit to significant face-to-face study.  Even though it is online, we have mechanisms in place to help you feel connected to our world-class campuses and still get the fun and fresh learning experience that AIF is famous for!  We use a virtual classroom tool called Blackboard Collaborate. This allows Friends (aka students) to log on to the online platform from anywhere that has an internet connection and join their Coach and Tribe (aka class) mates live! Sounds high tech right?

There are lots of virtual classrooms during your program, but the Kick Start Webinar is the first official day of your course.  This is where the whole Tribe spends three hours getting to know the team that will support them throughout their Master Trainer journey.  You’ll get an induction to your “eCampus”, run through a pre-activity screening form and ask as many questions as you want about the course.

The Kick Start is an interactive session, where Coach and Friends hang out virtually. You can speak if you want, or type messages in the live chat box, including some cool emoji’s of course! There will be activities, live discussions and the all-important information for upcoming challenge preparation.  You don’t have to be a computer genius to jump on board!

Your Kick Start session will include:

  • Meeting the team that will support you
  • Meeting your Friends in the Tribe
  • Understanding what is a Master Trainer and the criteria you need to meet to become one
  • Learning how to set up and log in to the online platforms throughout the course
  • Exploring and being inducted on eCampus and Google Drive
  • Getting a sneak peek at what the campus closest to you looks like
  • How to establish a study schedule with the course outline and session dates

To participate in a virtual classroom, you will require a laptop / tablet with a microphone (built-in or external) and computer speakers (built-in or external). If external, a good compromise is a head set with headphones and a microphone – your iPhone headphones work a treat! Your Coach will invite you to your own virtual classroom via a link they will email to you.  From there, you download the program and type in your name so that Friends know who you are in the “classroom”.  A great tip is to log in super early so you can do a “tech-check” and be ready to rock when the session starts!  We recommend around 30 minutes before!

In doing virtual classrooms, we give you a fantastic opportunity to interact with your Tribe mates and Coach – just like if you were in a face-to-face class!  Your Kick Start webinar will make sure you commence your studies feeling engaged and motivated!

See you in cyber space!
