AIF partners with Iron Edge to equip students with premium training equipment

Jul 14, 2021 | by Molly Fabri

Leading fitness educator teams up with Australian equipment innovator following successful trial collaboration.

Australia’s #1 fitness educator, the Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF), has partnered with Iron Edge, the Australian exercise equipment company known for its product innovation and design. The partnership will see AIF students hit the ground running when they get started with their studies, as they receive their own equipment gift pack, in addition to Iron Edge industry discounts to assist them as they embark on their fitness careers.

For over 12 years, Iron Edge has been at the forefront of high-performance strength training in Australia. Catering to a broad range of sectors, from elite sports and commercial leisure facilities to boutique personal training studios, Iron Edge boasts some incredible fit-outs and a team of local engineers with a passion for exercise and training. The company was born out of a desire to build better athletes through better training. This mission continues to drive the company today, and clearly aligns it with the AIF’s stated mission: ‘Be your best. Train with the best’.

After a successful collaboration in early 2020, during the peak of Australia’s COVID lockdowns, it was a no-brainer for the two companies to pursue an ongoing industry partnership to optimise the experience of AIF’s personal training students. The exclusive, complimentary Iron Edge student packs featuring a 41″ Fabric Power Band, Micro Band Pro, Massage Ball and Iron Edge drawstring bag will make a welcome return, with the mission to get them into the hands of as many AIF students as possible.

Welcoming the progression of the two businesses’ professional relationship, Head of Operations at AIF, Kim Horner, said “Over the past decade or so Iron Edge has built itself a stellar reputation for equipping Australian fitness facilities with high quality apparatus that can withstand the rigours of commercial use, while looking stylish to boot. At AIF, quality is the name of the game in everything we do, and that includes the vital element of teaching students how to deliver the best workouts to clients by using the best available equipment. After a trial collaboration in 2020 we received a lot of positive feedback from students using Iron Edge apparatus, so we are very pleased to evolve this initial program into a new partnership.”

James Russell, Head of Business Development for Iron Edge added; “Whether designing a new product or refining an old one, Iron Edge strives for perfection. There is no exception to this, especially not when picking brands to partner with. With reputation at stake, we are very selective of who we associate with. Australian Institute of fitness have led the nation for over 20 years in training and education of Australia’s personal trainers. We are both committed to improving the standard across our respective industries and feel we are strongly aligned in our vision. We are excited to collaborate with the largest RTO in the country and hope for a long and successful partnership.”

The Australian Institute of Fitness and Iron Edge are looking forward to a successful partnership and adding significant value to AIF students and graduates during their fitness studies and subsequent careers.
