Course overview

If massage is your passion, the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy from the Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF) will give you the best start to your career. Modelled on industry best practice, students learn the safest, most effective techniques for giving a full body relaxation massage, as well as sports massage, massaging for special needs and for rehabilitation, and stretching techniques.

The course also covers treatment of muscular pain, the essentials to managing a successful massage therapy business, and the skills required to work in a supervised massage clinic.

AIF is the only massage course provider that can get you career ready with its Career Head-Start Service TM, and the Certificate IV in Massage Therapy is the only massage course that, when combined with AIF’s Remedial Massage Therapist qualification, specifically trains you to treat athletes as well as everyday exercisers.

The course can also serve as a stepping stone towards a higher level industry qualification. If you want to enhance your Massage Therapist qualification and your opportunities within the massage industry, AIF’s Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT52015) will increase your scope of practice by providing you with the skills needed to deliver advanced massage techniques, posture analysis, and injury rehabilitation practices. Plus, the Diploma will enable your services to become eligible for clients’ private health fund rebates.
