With a booming career in the food industry plus a diary chock full of travel, running his own gym and studying Personal Training, it would be easy to assume Hayden Quinn hardly has time to do what he loves most; cook.
However, Hayden says he loves nothing more than having the time and ability to carefully plan and prepare his meals. And on a good day; his day on a plate is pretty inspiring.
“My favourite food has to be breakfast food!” says Hayden. Regularly mixing it up when it comes to flavour and context Hayden says breakfast is the most rewarding meal because he regularly eats after exercise.
Hayden likes to enjoy high protein combinations like eggs, haloumi, quinoa and mushrooms with a cup of tea before starting work for the day.
Hayden admits he usually doesn't have a typical day, so lunch almost always includes a pre-prepared salad ha can munch on the go.
“I always have in my mind making it as colourful as possible” Hayden says, as well as getting that perfect balance of good protein, fats and carbs.
“I usually go to a session at my gym The Cube in the afternoon” Hayden says, so dinner is often post-workout.
With such a busy schedule, Hayden often sticks to simple yet flavoursome meals with minimal prep time. “It’s always going to include some kind of protein, and then a larger serving of veggies,” Hayden says, adding that he does like to indulge in a few biscuits or squares of chocolate before bedtime too.
