PROTEIN BROWNIES RECIPE

If you’re sweet on treats but not the nasties in it, these protein brownies are for you! Eat straight out of the oven or after a workout for some choccie without the side of guilt! 


Ingredients:

2 eggs

¼ cup of oats

2 big handfuls of frozen raspberries (or frozen berry of your choice – cherries make a great substitute!)

1 cup of cacao (or cocoa powder)

1 cup of applesauce

1 cup of protein powder (we used chocolate whey for extra punch)

1 cup of milk of your choice! (our favourite is coconut milk)

1 big handful of walnuts


Method:

1.  Line a rectangular baking tin with baking paper (ours is 15X30)

2.  Combine all the ingredients (aside from raspberries and walnuts) in a great big bowl and whisk them together

3.  Scatter half the raspberries and walnuts on the bottom of the baking tin. Then poor the mixture over the top. Scatter the rest of the berries and nuts on the top and then bang it in the oven!

4.  Cook for 18 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean
