Developed in consultation with industry, SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness will train you in the essential skills needed to launch your fitness career.

Delivered face-to-face at the Diamond Fitness facility in Osborne Park, you will discover how to incorporate the latest health, fitness and training principles into your programs, as well as learn nutritional information to strengthen your ability when conducting fitness tests and appraisals with your clients. In addition, you will also gain an understanding of how to work effectively in sport, fitness and recreational environments, including how to apply risk management processes.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for the Fitness Coach course, students must have an interest in fitness, have a computer and internet access, be over 16 years old and meet AIF’s acceptance criteria, which includes an eligibility interview and demonstrating satisfactory levels of language, literacy and numeracy.

Why should I get qualified as a Personal Trainer through AIF's VET in Schools program?

If you want to be the best, you have to train with the best. Our delivery centres at Diamond Fitness are real elite strength and conditioning facilities with trainers that are currently working in the industry with a range of clients. This ensures our VETis students are industry ready straight out of school. Plus, there are alternate pathway opportunities including the ability to achieve university entry using your fitness qualification and appropriate general grades.

Do I need to speak with my school?

Yes, your school needs to know that you would like to participate in the program. You will be spending one day per week at Diamond Fitness’ training facility and your school will want to discuss your suitability, outcomes and proposed timetable. Available days for our VET in Schools programs are Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays.
