The results are in….
After bombarding our fitness experts at AIF (as we do every year) with an assortment of questions to determine what trends they expect to see circulating in the fitness industry in 2023, we have the answers you seek!
‘Why does it matter what fitness trends are dominating in 2023’, you ask? Well, these insights could allow you to adapt your fitness business accordingly (if appropriate) so that you can be up to date with the latest industry offerings and opportunities. Our industry can change rapidly, and you might find it helpful to know when ‘blindfolded boxing’ becomes the latest craze, so you can add it to your list of offerings… (don’t worry, it won’t).
So, without further ado, here are the top 10 trend predictions for 2023 as predicted by the AIF team
Upon sharing the results with AIF’s Head of Compliance and Training, Kate Kraschnefski, she commented; “Our lives are so entwined with technology, it is no surprise that wearable tech again tops the list. A growing range of options, at all price points, is giving us more and more data that we can use to inform not just our fitness performance, but also our overall health. Wearable tech gives us real-time feedback that can keep us motivated and on track.
As we start to return to at least a new-normal post-pandemic, and our lives are busier than ever, the time-saving benefits of HIIT are likely behind its rise to position number 2.
One of the many things we learnt during COVID lockdowns, was the benefits of services being delivered online and on demand. In all aspects of our life, we expect flexibility and for things to fit in when we want them, how we want them and where we want them. Our fitness regime is no exception, and online training gives us the accountability and oversight of fitness professionals, as well as control over how it fits into our lifestyle. “
Some other thoughts from our team when asked if there were other trends they expect to see on the rise…
