A new partnership between Australia’s leading fitness training organisation, the Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF), and fitness industry recruitment platform, HealthyPeople, is set to transform how graduates connect with employers.
In partnership, AIF and HealthyPeople aim to alleviate workforce shortages across gyms and fitness facilities Australia-wide through a technology-enabled, people-first approach in graduate employment and industry connection.
Launched in 2005 by fitness industry veteran, Dennis Hosking, HealthyPeople seeks to provide better job search and recruitment solutions for the Australian fitness industry. The platform encourages employers to connect directly with potential employees through a myriad of smart search, promotion and candidate profiling functionality.
The ability to search candidate and employer profiles by location, to see how active or passive one is on their job search, or one’s qualifications and desired role types, are just some of the features HealthyPeople offer to make job search and recruitment easy.
The new partnership gives AIF students and graduates greater employment pathways and helps fitness industry employers fulfil ongoing workforce needs. AIF’s General Manager of Business Development & Partnerships comments,
“HealthyPeople are in absolute alignment with our goals at the AIF. We are always looking for ways to bring more value to our students and partners, and HealthyPeople will help us do just that. We are looking forward to getting the word out to our students, graduates, team members and Career Partners.”
The partnership comes at an opportune time for the AIF, as an expanding base of Career Partners voice their growing need for high-quality candidates.
As an added benefit, HealthyPeople will offer a free service for AIF students seeking work experience for Trainer Experience, a key practical component of AIF’s Certificate IV in Fitness qualification. Local employers will be notified via various forums once a student expresses their interest in collecting work placement hours. This includes having their profile ‘featured’ in relevant candidate search results.
Dennis Hosking, Founder and Managing Director of HealthyPeople commented, “I am genuinely thrilled to see this collaboration between the AIF and HealthyPeople. With two specialists working together to best serve new professionals and the industry, big things are going to happen!”
As well as providing the industry’s first seamless and fully supported pathway from education to employment, this new approach will provide huge benefits for fitness employers. More specifically, HealthyPeople has created a separate page for listing AIF students that employers anywhere in Australia can connect with for free, as one of the AIF’s Industry Partners.
This is an opportunity to create a win for all stakeholders, including students, employers, the AIF and HealthyPeople.”
As the #1 fitness educator in the industry, AIF continually assesses their programs, partnerships and operations to promote student and graduate success outcomes. The partnership between AIF and HealthyPeople further supports these outcomes, providing readily accessible pathways to fitness industry employment.
