Fitness Experts Reveal Top Five Health Smartwatches To Buy In 2021

Leading fitness professionals named the Apple Watch the best health smartwatch money could buy in 2021, beating other popular Garmin and Fitbit items.

Experts at the Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF) found the wearable device, which starts at $ 299, is the best for weight loss, ease of use, and form and content, and wins 24.20 percent of the vote.

The Apple Watch was followed by Garmin’s line of smartwatches, which received 22.50 percent of the vote and was named the best for improving your general fitness and learning to run or improving your overall mileage.

Third place went to the popular line of Fitbit watches (14.50 percent), which give millions the ability to track their steps, workouts, calories, and sleep.

The top 5 were rounded off by the Whoop Strap (11.20 percent), which gives a detailed overview of your overall fitness level and was recognized as the best for sleep tracking, and the Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch (9.60 percent).

The respondents and experts in the survey agreed that the most important thing about a smartwatch is that it offers user-friendly features such as customizable display functions and long battery life.

They ranked this against technical features like a built-in speaker for voice commands and improved sleep tracking.

Many also said that they like features like heart rate monitoring that can show how hard you are working in a given training session.

Steve Pettit, CEO of the Australian Institute of Fitness, said: ‘Health and fitness wearables are the fastest growing sector in the fitness industry.

“The amount and depth of data that can be obtained from them is incredible, and information that was once only available to elite athletes is quickly becoming readily available and digestible for the everyday Australian.”

Other smartwatches that made the top 10 in the summary below were the Motorola Moto, Huawei, Fossil Sport, and Chest Strap.
